8100 and wifi

I know the 8100 does not come with wifi, and I also know from the posts that as of Jan 09 no wifi was available for the 8100.

 

So please don't jump on me for asking this question.

 

Is it only a software issue or is it a hardware issue that stops the 8100 from being able to have wifi?

Hardware -- no WiFi radio means no WiFi capability.
