8220 Flip phone issues syncing with iCal

I have a new 8220.  I have a lot of issues syncing with Address Book, iCal, Stickies and iCal Tasks.  I will not list any specific problems or question regarding syncing.  I've discovered other people with similar issues on forums in the past month.  I'm sure no amount of tweaking is going to workaround whatever issues I have with currently available versions.

The BB desktop manager works so much better. The options for sync/conflict resolution, specifically, are better.

I am a mac and a PC user, but I prefer to keep my personal info on my mac and not introduce it to the exchange server at work.  I like iCal's interface and would prefer to stick with it.  iCal is big; I could live without Address book sync andthe other stuff; I bought this phone because I wanted to have a personal calendar on a flip phone and sync to iCal.  I've had an older model BB work well with PocketMac and iCal.

I want to know:

-When will a PocketMac version come out to address the issues with the new BB models? Will there be one, or...

-I heard rumors of a Desktop Manager build for OS X.... What's the deal here?

I want dates.  Months or Quarters at least.  When will RIM offer a good, dependable solution for us mac users?

Basically I want what PC users get: I plug in my BB, click 1 or 2 things and it syncs... period.  I don't want to confirm 47 phone number changes, just do it already.
