I recently experienced the following problem and i had solved it in the following way:
1. Turn off you Blackberry Device
2.Pull Battery Out
3.Give your phone a good shake (keep it firm in hand or your bb will go out the window)
4.By doing the shaking, your trackpad rattles into place where it's meant to be
5.Place battery and cover back and good luck
If this solution did not work, you'll definetely need a replacement which cost around £20.00
