8700 in case

When I store my 8700 in the supplied hard plastic case, the edges of the case press the "a" & "del" buttons at the same time, which brings the screen to the "dial" screen and it stays lit as long as stays in the case.

Anyone can help me figure out how to just park it in the case without accidently dialing someone or draining the battery ?

Tanks !

Steph.

Re: 8700 in case

Most cases made specifically for a Blackberry have a magnet that will automatically shut the screen off when put in the holster. I'm not sure why the one that came with your phone doesn't, unless it fell out. You can check out your carrier's website or store for Blackberry cases for your phone though.

Go to OPTIONS, SECURITY OPTIONS, GENERAL SETTINGS and make sure that it is set to YES for LOCK HANDHELD UPON HOLSTERING.
