Re: 8700g Error message 517

This is happening due to corrupt file system as an inconsistency was detected in the JVM persistent object store. If resetting the device doesn't solve the issue then you need to reinstall the device OS.

Re: 8700g Error message 517

You don't have to reload OS.  If you do make a backup with Desktop manager.

I had same error a couple months ago.  Forget fix, but I found it on google or BB website doing searches.  I may have called my carrier who pointed me to the fix.  Do some research first. If I come across it I will post.

Re: 8700g Error message 517

I may have been wrong.

See link:

I didn't think I wiped and reloaded OS, since I hate that.  But, maybe I did.

Re: 8700g Error message 517

Thanks for the detailed response tanzim,

I guess I jumped the gun on the fix.  That is probably what I did, exactly as you posted above.

Re: 8700g Error message 517

Also, and I hope I am correct on this, I think it is JVM not JUM.  It looked like a U on my BB also.

That helped me fine the solution through google.

[ Edited ]

Rugmankc is correct is should be JVM. From my experience I've seen that may people spell is as JUM because the tiny font is being dispyed.

SAROPS I wish to hear that you're problem has been resolved. Smiley Happy

You can resolve the thread by accepting the solution. Have some time to do so.
