9300 curve

Can someone help

 

My blackberry curve got repaired just before christmas for a filing trackpad. (its a 9300) it came back looking new (probably a refurb!)

 

It worked fine for a while but has now started overheating and wont hold charge for longer than an hour when fully charged! 

 

I went through 3 before (my old service provider) but i have changed to orange since the repair and do not want to go through them, It should be blackberry's job to fix my phone or at least replace it for the problems iv had with it!!

 

IF anyone can give advice i would appreciate it.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

 

For device-level issues, it is always the original place of purchase (or a service center, in some regions) that holds warranty support responsibility, regardless of the carrier in use (the carrier supports service issues, but they do not support device issues unless they originally sold the device to the end user). There are no conditions where BlackBerry provides any warranty support or service whatsoever. That is the nature of the contracts by which all parties are bound. While we may want it to be otherwise, the contracts we enter into are binding.

 

Nevertheless, it is possible that your battery or BB has experienced a problem...to test, this sequence is needed:

  1. Obtain a known good and already fully charged additional battery...use it in your BB and see what happens
  2. Obtain access to a known good and identical BB...use your battery in it and see what happens

The results of this will indicate if it's your actual BB or your battery that has the problem.
