I purchased the same 9790 and i am experiencing the same problem if not worse. My phone heats up even without being used, as long as it is on and i fear it exploding. All i have running is Home, mail, phone, browser and BBM

What is your Operating System loaded to your device? Look at Options > Device > About, third line down beginning with a "v.6.0.x.xxx", What is yours?

9790 battery

hi all. I have a Bold 9790 and I share what I think;

After analyzing the situation of the battery life, I call the attention of developers. I think in their development tests should have considered this. Especially in enterprise environments where batery is very important to choose thone models for workers.

The cause of the overspending of battery is that the phone always tries to connect to 3G. although in menu is selectec 3G/2G. this option allwais select 3g if is available, if you put manualy network to 2g it changes automatically to 3g, just wasting all battery.

please, i claim for a review of the connections menu options; to connect "only 2 g" as in previous versions of BBOS 5 and 6.
so the battery will last 3 days like with OS 6 in other bb.

Or bether, "2g/3g" option programed to use allwais 2g but when you use broser change to 3 if is available and when you chose change to 2g. That is a simple and efective solution.

I think it is a simple and logical solution that will satisfies all users and should be atend by the developers of RIM

a greeting and I hope you heed this request.

thanks and I hope find solution.
