9810 Network Mode issue on OS 7.1

[ Edited ]

There was issue with my OS 7.0 on my Torch, when ever I get a SMS I got a message on my screen that my SMS memory is full. This was annoying. So I read and found that OS 7.1 was the answer to my question. I updated my my Torch 9810 to OS 7.1 using the file 9810M_PBr7.1.0_rel888_PL5.1.0.223_A7.1.0.258. The annoying message stopped. But now when I goto the Mobile and Network option, there was an option of Network Mode that allowed me to switch between 2g only, 3g only or 3G & 2G. Now I don't see that option at all. I downgraded the OS back to Os 7.0 and I can see the Network Mode option again. Switching between 2g and 3g is important for me. Is this an issue with the 9810M_PBr7.1.0_rel888_PL5.1.0.223_A7.1.0.258 build? Can I get link to more stable version of OS 7.1 for my torch?

Thanks,

Re: 9810 Network Mode issue on OS 7.1

It's my understanding that option is not present in OS7.1

I assumed it is there. Check the picture of Wifi Calling. It very much has the option of Network Mode.

Re: 9810 Network Mode issue on OS 7.1

You've downgraded back to OS7.0 for now? It'll be hard to test if so...

But, did you have your Network Mode set to automatic?

Yes, I have swtiched back to OS 7.0. I have started to ge this annoying SMS memory full pop up again. Yes, the network mode is set to Automatic even now. And I get the option of Network Mode. Are you trying to say, there was some way to enable that option on OS 7.1?

Look at your Manage Connections screen > Mobile Network Options.

What ALL do you see on that page?

Some mobile network options may be different according to your mobile provider.
