A little clock keeps popping up

Hey  i want to know, why is it when am using my bb this annoying little black clock keeps popping up.

it happens sometimes when am trying to access and application or when am in the middle of composing a message. it causes a delay so that a may type a whole word somtimes when the clock shows up on the screen, only when it dissappears then the word will be seen.

what is the cause of this clock and how can i deactivate it, if it can be done.

Re: A little clock keeps popping up

Hi and Welcome to the Forums!

That little clock is your BBs indication to you that it is attempting to do some housecleaning. The longer and longer that time passes between proper reboots, the more and more housekeeping it must do. It is recommended to do a proper reboot on a regular basis (just like all computers):

  • Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

Best!
