Access to two separate BB Exchange Servers from one single BB device

Can a BB device be configured to send and receive email from two separate DoD Exchange Servers (such @ndu.edu and @mail.mil) at the same time?  Faculty and Staff members from the National Defense University are going to transition from their own Exchange Servers to Enterprise Exchange Servers and will need to be able to send, receive, sign, encrypt and decrypt (with the help of a Bluetooth CAC Reader) emails from both Exchange servers for a while.  If it can be done, how can we accomplish it?  Do we need to buy new BB devices such the new Z10 or install a special version of management software?  Thank you in advance for your prompt assistance.

Re: Access to two separate BB Exchange Servers from one single BB device

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

You did not state complete, but I assume from your post that both environments are BES? As such, no...one BB can be activated to only one BES account at a time. There is nothing I know of that can override that restriction.

But, the workaround may be capable...use OWA for one of them, and BES on the other. Decide which will be the "master" from a calendar, contacts, tasks, and Outlook notes perspective...make that one BES. Enable OWA on the other one, and integrate that to the BB via BIS...that one will only be able to do email, but since it's the BES one that is the "master", that should be OK I'd think.

Good luck!

Thank you for your reply! I was afraid that the scenario you mentioned was the only possible. Oh well, thank you for taking the time to help us.
