I overslept this morning because the alarm on my Storm decided not to go off. I double checked the sound profile and it was a set to "normal". So I went into the sound setting for the alarm. As I scrolled through the list I picked a different alarm and clicked "try it"....no sound. So I decided to go into the master sound settings and tried to change a ring tone, gain it would not let me preview the sound, or "try it". Seems strange, because the other day I was going through the whole list of sounds and played each one when i clicked on it. At any rate I then decieded to call my phone, it rang as normal.....WHAT GIVES?

I also overslept this morning because the alarm on my Bold decided not to go off. The display looked fine, but it didnt respond at all when buttons were pressed. I had to remove the battery to get the phone to work again !!!

Have you tried to turn the device off and on ?
And there is cold turn-off: pull the battery when your device is ON, wait a minute and push it again to the its place.
Does it help ?

Yes, you're right.
It can be set to the current time to check the alarm is working.
But it is hard to trust it anymore.

Here is my experience...two mornings I noticed that my alarm did not go off audibly. I often switch my phone to "vibrate only" then return to normal state later in the day. I checked the sound settings both days, and it was set to "normal". I could also not get any other sounds at that time.
However, I called the phone, it rang...after that my sounds all came thru perfectly. I tested the alarm again, and it worked perfectly.
I wonder if some how switching the sound "state" is screwing with the alarm sounds?
