All contacts lost!!

So I did the update....I know, I know (now) that I needed to back up everything.  I didn't, however, the computer has a file under My documents/Application Data\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader Cache\f5f4309cbf89061408b3602b71756e937010edc1\CDMA.  The website said it saved this back up to this location.  Problem is, I cant get the stupid phone to sync with the computer.  When I plug in the USB it says that there was a problem with the install of the device and that the device can not be installed properly.  How do I get it back to where it was so that I can save everything to my desktop manager and THEN do the update?

Re: All contacts lost!!

You can't "undo" the update, but you can downgrade the OS back to .75, if that is what you mean.

Search you entire PC hard drive c: for "*.ipd" (without the quote marks) andfind your recent backup file.

Then open Desktop Manager > Backup/Restore > Advanced and restore your databases, in this case the Address Book database.

If Desktop Manager is not showing the device connected, reboot the PC first, and the BB with a battery pull, and then reconnect USB and attempt the DM connection again.

First off try a battery pull with phone "ON" and let it reboot. That should get your USB working again (mine does this from time to time)

Second in your desktop manager goto: Backup/Restore and click on Restore then click on the most resent Loader Backup IPD file... This will restore your phone back to the way it was before the update with the new OS  should only take a few minutes...
