I too have a Tour 9630 and have the exact same error after attempting to install a system recommended update to AppWorld. I'd be happy to provide more details, but with so many people reporting the exact same problem I suspect that the conditions surrounding the problem will not be hard for RIM to reproduce. I'll wait a few days to see if RIM posts a reasonable fix and then I'm off to get a new iPhone. 'Tis the season.

BlackBerry says uninstall and reinstall App World. This does not work. I found that going to this site[link removed] and selecting the previous version of app world solved it. Just uninstall the version 56 of App World and then install the version 29 of App World. Don't forget to choose the correct OS for your device.

Thanks calculus50! This looks like the best solution... oh yeah! RIM doesn't seem to monitor this forum so it's the only solution. Thanks again for the link, I'm going to keep that handy since I don't believe this will be the last of our issues while we're still using Blackberrys.
