Just last evening now I get a message that app world is not available in my country. My playbook has been here in Canada since I got it. Any ideas?

This is a problem that seems to be occuring all over the world. I had it yesterday and the day before in the UK, there are reports of it occuring in Canada, the US, Singapore, Zimbabwe etc etc.
Seems like RIM are either experiencing some server issues and/or updating the store and the changes/fixes are taking some time to percolate around the world.
Check out the various threads about it in the PlayBook help forum, also the threads over at crackberry's forum and elsewhere. The solution so far has been simply to wait a day or two and it fixes itself, although you may experience it working then not working again a few times (this happened to me and various others).
