Application Loader Error

Problem:

 

I'm getting a "Unspecified Error Encountered [J:0x00000024]" everytime I try to use the application loader.

 

I've replaced the SIM card, removed and reinserted the battery, restarted the computer, and installed all updates - nothing seems to help.

 

Info:

Blackberry 8520 smartphone (EDGE, Wi-Fi) v4.6.1.314 (platform 4.2.0.135)

No Apps installed other than the ones that came with the phones (due to me being unable to install any others)

 

Any ideas?

Try using the loader.exe file, with Desktop Manager closed.

 

Go to c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader\loader.exe

Closed the Desktop Manager and tried using the loader.exe file instead; got this:

 

"A fatal error has occurred while updating your device's software. Please try again.

Unspecified error encountered [J:0x00000024]"

OK.

 

Turn your PC off, and restart, and try the loader.exe file again.
