Application Loader says ...does not have BB device software for the connected device.

Mine is a new 8320.  I installed Desktop software with Media Manager.  Seems the 8320 Desktop on the CD and the online version didn't include Media Manager so I installed v 4.2 Service Pack 2 which does include Media Manager.

 

Now can't transfer any music files (I get an out of memory error) and when I go to Application Manager to check memory, it can't read my 8320 and I see message "does not have device software for the connected device." 

 

How do I add 8320 device sotware to the Application Loader so it can read my 8320 memory allocations, etc?  What else could be reason I can't transfer any music files?

First, without a media card, you can't move files larger than 2.86MB to the device.  If you get a media card you can load any size file to it and you don't even need Media Manager.

 

Second you need to install the device software to your PC so that DM will recognize it on the device.  You can get the software from your carrier's download site.  Here's a link that should help:
