You might try this "possible" work-around. In a list of emails, open Menu - options - Uncheck "Ignore Case" and then in your Custom Dictionary add the names you use regularly with the case of the first initial in caps. Then you "may" be prompted to click and change the names you type in like mike and change to the way it is in your custom dictionary.
If you try this let us know if it worked. Granted there are a lot of names to add to that custom dictionary, but if you use them a lot you may want to try this proposed workaround. It doesn't seem like there are a lot of other suggestions out here, huh?
