Hi,thankyou for this but it wont let me open the link on how to reset the blackberry battery meter, could you help?

The link is dead, ignore.

Leave the device to charge 2-3 hours, and then, still connected to the charging cable, remove the the battery from the device a few seconds and reinsert it. If it boots--leave it to charge to 100% (check Options > Status for the percentage).

Then, do this again a couple times over a couple days if needed.

Re: BATTERY STATUS SAYS FULL BUT PHONE SUDDENLY DRAINS

Hello,

My experience with quickly draining batteries is in most cases hardware problem. Most often it is a consuption which can be diagnosed by a specialist. I would suggest bringing your phone to a repair centre. The most common cause is moisture.

Regards.

Re: BATTERY STATUS SAYS FULL BUT PHONE SUDDENLY DRAINS

Great, this method worked for me. Pulling off the battery when discharged (with charging cable on) did not work, but pulling it off when 100% charged worked. Its been around 3 months I was suffering. Battery used to go dead in 3 hrs, now it lasts around 24 hrs.
