Hi, I am running XP professional and just purchased a BB 8310. I set it up on my laptop and
it worked great at first. Yesterday I tried to sync and a Microsoft Error comes up stating
"Blackberry has encountered an error and must be shut down. Sorry ect........." then it
closes the desktop software. It initially starts and askes for my password, then begins to sync
and suddenly starts with the above problem. Any help is appreciated.

What version of Desktop Manager are you using and what OS is your blackberry?
It seems like it is a database problem, some databases may be corrupt. Try doing an advanced sync and do not select calendar. If it synchronizes perfectly then you know the calendar database is corrupt. The Calendar database is a common database that is corrupt.

THe Desktop Manager is 22.214.171.124 and the Device Manager is 126.96.36.199. I tries to sync without the calandar and it did the same thing only faster. This thing is brand new, I just purchased it last week. Thanks.

I went through and synced the calendar, address book, and notes. Tey all synced fine
invividually. It's the tasks that are causing the problem. What do I do to uncorrupt? thanks
