BB 8700 turns off on its own

Hi. I have a BB8700 and it turns off without warning or errors and when I turn it back on it will only go through a partial start up and then shut off. The battery indicator registers a full charge but it still shuts off. There is no problem as long as the phone is plugged in. It acts as if the battery dies and shuts off. Is it possible that even though the indicator shows a full battery that the battery is defective??

Thanks!

Hey SeanSto,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums.

I would highly suggest you try a new battery in your 8700.  Let me know if the performance changes at all.

Thanks!

I was thinking that would be a probable solution. I will try to find one tomorrow. I will let you know how it turns out!
