BB 8900 curve locked

My daughter owns a BB8900 curve, she now has downloaded a theme and installed it on her BB, but this theme was for a BB with a touchscreen.
Now her BB is locked. It is a theme with a playboy logo.
We have restarted(hard reset) her BB but nothing works, When you connect the BB to the computer it appears in windows but you can't reach the folders in the BB.
The desktop manager can't connect with the BB. The screen shows her battery strength, her clock and date(it shows 01:03 wednesday 1 March, this isn't correct ofcourse).
At the right upper corner there is the provider antenna, but no reception.
Het simcard works in another BB.
I can't reach any menu in her BB.

Anyone any ideas how to get this BB working again?

Re: BB 8900 curve locked

Hi and welcome to the forums!

When starting the BlackBerry® smartphone, safe mode can be used to prevent third-party applications from running automatically. Safe mode is designed to allow troubleshooting or remove any unwanted applications.

Let us know how it goes!

Thanks,

How do I run the safe mode. Restarting the BB, and then?

Re: BB 8900 curve locked

Hi,

Click here: KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in safe mode.

Read the steps listed in the procedure. Once you get the device into safe mode you  should be able to delete the problem theme.

Thanks,
