BB 9720 - Device Analyzer - Help me from going insane please !

Hi Community and thanks for taking the time to read this.

OK so I am relatively inexperienced BB user but I have spent 2 days trying to research and tinker with my device before I came here looking for salvation !!!

I have several BB 9720 devices that will not let me start or access the BB Device Analyzer.

The application is listed under Application Management (with a ? icon) to its left.

Unfortunatley it is not present under the Advanced System Setings.

I have tried the [alt] BBDA keystrokes under various options menus but to no avail.

I feel that I am missing something simple - but cannot see it. Please help before I go insane !

In anticipation I have listed the following for anybody who cares to help.

Each 9720 has the following software versions.

7.1 Bundle 2910 (v7.1.0.1083, Platform 9.105.0.18)

No Enterprise Account

IT - Policy    *No Services*

Thanks for any help provided.

The BlackBerry Device Analyzer will no longer be bundled with BlackBerry 7.1.0.923 (bundle 2534) or higher.

Re: BB 9720 - Device Analyzer - Help me from going insane please !

Thanks ever so much for your response - I guess that was the simple thing I was missing !

May I draw more upon your expertise?

Is there anyway around this restriction ii, am I able to apply the BBDA as an application to this bundle or are they simply not compatible.?

I presume downgrading my bundle version would allow the installed BBDA to function correctly?

Thanks again for your time.

Yep, downgrade the OS.

Why do you need the BBDA so badly?

Re: BB 9720 - Device Analyzer - Help me from going insane please !

Customers are reporting also sorts of voice and sms issues.

We therefore like the BBDA sitting in the background recording how the network is behaving, whilst the user carries on their normal business. This in turn helps us identify if the customer has legitimate complaints.
