BB 9830 heats up, hangs and drains battery

I am using a BB 9830 with OS 7.1 bundle 1133. I had upgraded to 7.1 bundle 2039 and my ph started to hang, heat and battery drained in 2-3 hrs. Ever since i have downgraded the OS to 7.1 bundle 1133.

I have checked, there are no program running in the background.

mine heats up and drains if I put it in a jacket pocket or my girlfriends purse...a full battery will drain down to nothing within about a half hour!
