Same problem with MS Vista SP1
BlackBerry Bluetooth Device appears not working in MS Vista device manager

BlackBerry Bluetooth Device is not compatible with this version of Windows.

This product is usually distributed by the company that manufactured your device or computer.
If you bought BlackBerry Bluetooth Device from a retailer and installed it yourself, you will need to contact its manufacturer.

Problem is you are running Vista SP1. Install Service Pack 2. This should resolve bluetooth issues.

I have Vista SP2 and am having the same error meesgae when trying to connect my Blackberry via BT.
Blackberry Bluetooth Devise is not compatible with this version of Windows.
Bluetooth peripheril device failed.

The only thing I can suggest then is to try updating Bluetooth drivers from the manufacturers website. What is the driver date on your computer for Bluetooth, check this against your PC's manufacturers driver date. Give that a try...
