Does the BlackBerry Curve 9300 smartphone ask for an MEP code when the SIM card is inserted or does it just ask for your personal lock password?
Also have you tried to insert a different SIM card in the BlackBerry smartphone?

The phone just has a screen confirming Device locked
There is a option:-
Unlock does not work -
Emergency calls has sub menu - police, fire etc. did not try any
Cancel - back to square 1
I took the phone to a service centre they reloaded software - all works again
- comes with a price of course
