BB Desktop Not Recognizing Itunes. Help!

I have Mac OS X version 10.6.8


I have updated to most current of both iTunes & Blackberry Desktop:


-iTunes version 11.1.3 (8)


-Blackberry Desktop version 2.4.0 (build 18)



When I sync my BB to my computer, it connects fine. However, when I click on music under the media folder it states:


This version of Itunes is not supported. Visit the iTunes website to upgrade to latest version.



I have done so- as can be seen from above- yet  BB Desktop is still not recognizing iTunes/Music. It does not even offer folder for me to manual transfer music folders/files, so I am at a loss.


What is going on? Why is this happening? How can this be fixed? Or what are alternatives?
