Spoke to a Verizon Tech. Here is what he told me to do:
Manage Connections --> Mobile Network Options
Change from "Global" to "1XEV" under "Network Technology"
Reboot your storm after you changed the setting. The error message should disappear.
It works on mine. Hope it works for you too.
