BB Storm sim card rejected

Has anyone had problems with the error sim card rejected? Sometimes my phone has this error at the top of the screen, I know that it really doesn't matter unless you travel out of the country. When I power off my phone and back on the phone wants to me to configure the sim, so I tell it no and later the phone shows the message.

I had the issue yesterday, did a batt pull and it went away.  Not sure if this is the fix or not.

I have already done that, but it came back, not immediatley but after a day or so.

Spoke to a Verizon Tech. Here is what he told me to do:

 

Manage Connections --> Mobile Network Options

Change from "Global" to "1XEV" under "Network Technology"

 

Reboot your storm after you changed the setting. The error message should disappear.

 

It works on mine. Hope it works for you too.

Just remove the SIM card. you don't need it anyway unless you travel out of the country
