I don't know what the hell happened but today my 'contacts' are gone! No icon, nothing.....besides when I go to my phone & dial a number I can still look through a phonebook but otherwise, my address book is gone & then I tried to Sync it and it failed.
How do I fix???? Please Respond ASAP

Anytime random strange behavior or sluggishness creeps in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.

OK...you didn't reveal that in your first post. Further, from the limited information in this post, I can't really tell what else you've already tried...from these words, I can think of perhaps a dozen different meanings to take from them. Exact descriptions are always better than generic statements so that we can hopefully understand your situation without guessing.

Well, please help me by expanding on the things you've already said so that they can be exactly understood. For example:
I have "synced" everything
By using those quotation marks, you leave me wondering what exactly you did...without the quotation marks, I might believe it to be an attempt to synchronize PIM data (calendar, contacts, tasks, memos, etc.) between the BB and Outlook. But, with the quotation marks, I'm not so sure...
There are many different methods to try that, some which restrict you to your carriers sanctioned OS packages, others which allow you to use another carrier package (if, for example, your carrier is slow to release updates). Further, from those two words alone, I cannot tell what the result of the attempt was.
This one is the most vague of all...and so I can't even make any guesses...
