BB Torch 9810 has automatically deleted "old" text messages.

My month old BB Torch 9810 has automatically deleted "old" text messages and my outgoing text messages up to a few days old. My message settings are set to "Keep messages forever".

Why is this happening?

Could this be due to memory issues?! (although ive hardly any emails/messages/pictures/apps on this phone yet compared with my last phone,a Bold, which never automatically deleted anything?)

In addtion my track ball has stopped working when I have the slider open and use the keypad rather than the touchscreen.

Help!!

Hi MrsWood,

Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community.

Low memory can cause older messages to be deleted from your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9810 smartphone as well as possibly causing the responsiveness issue with the trackpad. This KB article should provide more information. "What is the Low Memory Manager feature on the BlackBerry smartphone" http://bbry.lv/HX9rGI The link under Additional Information provides some steps to free space in your BlackBerry® Torch™ 9810 smartphone memory.

Please try these steps and test to make sure both issues have been resolved.

Hope this helps.
