BB World not recognizing my phone during system check

Hi,

 

when I login to BB World it wants to do a system check. Step 1 is to "Get the BlackBerry World Browser Plug-in" which it completes. Step 2 is to "Connect your smartphone", which I do, but nothing happens, it doesn't seem to recognize that it has been plugged in.

 

Any help on how to solve this problem is much appreciated.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

Have you first installed and at least once used the Desktop Software? That installs to your computer the necessary driver files for your BB to function properly with your computer, and from there the Plug-In should be able to properly function.

But, can I ask -- is there a reason you want to do this rather than just use the on-device BBWorld client?
