BB nerd here with question re:desktop

I have been using Palm desktop for several years and just switched to BB. Is there a way using BB Desktop Manager to enter data for calendar on the computer so I can sync with BB. With Palm I was able to enter each thing and color code so I could see at a glance what I had going.  Unfortunately since I use a Mac the user manual isn't so helpful and I'm feeling kind of lost. Appreciate any help.

Re: BB nerd here with question re:desktop

what mac and mac OS?...Pre-SL, you could sync Palm with Mac iCal and Address Book.  With DMFM, you can sync iCal and Address Book with your device.  Unfortunately BB devices do not support the multiple calendars (iCal) and color designations.  It puts all events into one default calendar on the device.

Thanks. I have Macbookpro with OS X. I have Microsoft Office for Mac, do you know if Entourage calendar syncs with BB?

OK duh, I just opened iCal and found the new data I've entered on my BB. I guess there is some hope here. Did I mention I have a Master's of Science degree...obviously it's not in computer science.

Re: BB nerd here with question re:desktop

Thanks for the welcome. Are you a nurse? I am currently a nurse practitioner and part-time nursing instructor. I'm still on the learning curve for the Mac and now with the Storm2. My 14 y.o. daughter is helping me as well as the kind people on the forum.

Thanks. I'm learning it slowly but surely. I'm sure there's lots of apps I'm not even aware of but I'll get there.
