OK, this is not 'wiping' your BlackBerry, this is just a reboot, which often helps reconnect the networks and will install any Service Books which might have been pushed to your device since the last reboot.

What did you do after the reboot? Specifically?

I did the reboot, and I started bbprotect, he initialised, updated, and then said the same message Smiley Sad

Call them back and ask them to ESCALATE (use that word) this issue to RIM's tier two tech support. This is some odd issue which service books should resolve, I don't know why it's not.

Hi !

 

I did as you said, and my carrier said they don't supply BB protect, only data ... I was astonished, I insisted, but they confirmed thaht only data (so acces to internet and e-mails) was included, and thaht they didn't know when BB protect will be included ...

 

I still don't understand why i used BBP for months before that event...
