BB9900 how would I know if my mother board is bad or screen?

Someone recently broke my 9900 by dropping it, the screen is shattered and I am trying to figure out since phone doesn't turn on and I can't see it either, did my board get affected as well or just screen. I don't want to go buy a touch screen if I don't know if my board is affected as well since it useless in doing so since the mother board is extremely hard to find online including eBay.

Just user to user, I don't know how you can test except replacing the obviously damaged components.  I can imagine there is a way to evaluate the board with the right tools, but I don't see it being something you can do.  See what other say, but I would buy another device.
