BBID problem

Hi,

I've had 6 Bold 9900's in a year, they keep on breaking and I keep loosing all my BBM contacts coz every time I get a new or refurbished one, it says neither of my 2 email accounts are synced to my BBID and I now once again can't restore my BBM contacts. And now MTN does not want to fix my Bold again and it's still under warranty. Please help

If you are on BBM7, then your BBM contacts are stored on the BlackBerry servers as part of your BB ID. If you log into the new device with the same BBID, then your BBM contacts should reflect properly on your BB.

If you on a version of BBM prior to BBM7, then backup/restore of BBM contacts is a tricky thing...refer to the link in my auto-sig on this post (regarding recommended backup procedures) for instructions on how to best perform Backup/Restore of BBM contacts for pre-BBM7.

 

From your post, I cannot tell which version of BBM you are on, and so I can only provide you this generic information.

No one here, on this user-to-user community, can help you with that...that is a contractual issue between you and the entity who sold you your device. From what you say, it sounds like you obtained it from MTN, so they are your authoritative entity to deal with. If you feel that whoever you are presently talking to is not correct, then you should escalate to their management.
