BBID

I have got a balckberry bold, I was previously on a contract sim card but cancelled this and today got a pay as you go sim, the phone is unlocked so it has accepted the sim card. But when I turned my phone on it asked me to sign into my BBID, I did but it told me that it does not correspond with the details. The details are correct as I am able to sign in with my BBID online. I have important photos on my phone that I can not loose, I cant access anything else on my phone other than this page, I have one attempt let! Someone please help

Re: BBID

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

A couple of thoughts...

First, what is the exact and complete error message please? There are too many possibilities from what you paraphrased...exact and complete will help us to properly understand.

Second, it may all be moot...with PayGo, sometimes you do not get any of the enhanced BB proprietary services, and hence your BBID and all that was tied to it may now be irrelevant. But, to know for sure, you have to talk to O2...only they can tell you what services you should expect with the service plan you downgraded to.

Good luck and let us know!

Re: BBID

Hi, thank you for the reply

I was able to put my old sim card into the phone and connect it to a laptop and get the photos and contacts off which I wanted to keep. I then re-entered my old sim and had to create a new BBID. But the phone is working fine and all pictures are safely backed up for future mishaps. Thank you again for the quick reply and advice you gave
