ok i have switched it over to the wi-fi because it was taking to much time all it is saying that it is retrying should i leave it to carry on

Hi tomlloyd20

I think you should wait a few more time. It took half an hours for some users. If it takes too much time then usual and didn't update they perform a battery pull as suggested ,then try it again.

I waited for over an hour so i did the battery pull and trying it again

I have done the battery pull and went on back on the BBM and it still has not done anything but stay on the associating BBM with your blackberry I.D i did switch over to the wi-fi and stayed the same and has not moved on what should i do?

Hi tomlloyd20

 

 

                         Remove Battery from your device while it is Powered On then re-insert it back , after device reboot , On your Homescreen Go to Options > Device > BlackBerry > If prompts login , then press the menu key > Check for Updates. ( If it updates let it be )

 

 Finally Open BBM and see if it pass the BlackBerry ID association.

It says that the device is up to date I am trying the association again see if it passes

The association has not passed the blackberry I.D the phone is up to date what would I need to do?

                            I am sorry If its not connecting we can't do much , All we can try is delete and reinstall the same and try again .Or

 

As  for the time being install BBM 6.2 until any newer version releases , If you want to install BBM6.2 then first uninstall BBM7  from your device then from your BlackBerry Browser browse or click on this link  http://mobileapps.blackberry.com/devicesoftware/entry.do?code=bbm6  to download BBM6.2.
