BBM 7 "Associating BBM with BlackBerry ID" and server error

I have a Curve 9300. I downloaded the new BBM 7 from the App World. I connected to my wi-fi and when my BBM was associating with my blackberry ID, at the end it would always say "Couldn't set up: Temporary servor error." I tried rebooting my phone but it didn't work, so I uninstalled BBM from my phone and reinstalled it. Now it's just stuck on the "Associating BBM with BlackBerry ID" part and it's been like that for several hours. Can anyone help me? Thanks

I read all of these threads before I made the original post, I tried them last night and I tried them again just now. BBM still doesn't work. Have you got any idea how to fix it? I've tried messaging BlackBerry Help on Twitter from which they offer support, but they haven't replied. Please help?

Some of the threads point to downgrading to version 6 or doing a security wipe.

Since you've tried all of these solutions and its still not working, I'm stumped on this one.

me too. I have seen people having difficulties with BBM7, but no one never failed at reinstalling BBM6.2 as indicated in those threads.

I sorted out my BBM associating with BB ID issue by:

 

1. U need to make sure ur BB ID is working and activated on the BB website.

2. On ur phone you need to search for ur Social Feeds Icon and open up the Social Feeds app.

3. Under the Social BBM section. Select "Getting Started". Then select "BBM Set Up".

4. Make sure ur BB ID is setup correctly in the information sections. Social Feeds will then authorise ur BB ID.

5. After it recognises ur valid BB ID it will perform a BBM RESTORE. And hopefully your problem would be solved!
