I had trouble with this phone (software + hardware issue) and was in repair for the past 2 weeks. I finally got it back but however, I subscribe for the Blackberry social service package and received sms stating that it has been activated. However I can't use the bbm nor the yahoo messenger, FB and twitter. I called the carrier they said that their system shows that I have activated the service and its active and they say it might be problem with the phone. I just checked the "service status" option and the BlackBerry Internet Service section shows "Not Connected". Btw I have torch 9810 with firmware 22.214.171.1245. is there options that need to be changed or smthing to get it running?

I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2 each should result in a message coming to your BB...please wait for that before proceeding to the next step):
1) Register HRT
2) Delete and Resend Service Books
3) Batt Pull Reboot
Hopefully that will get things going again for you! If not, then will need to continue working with your mobile service provider for formal support...and also possibly the repair shop (to find out if perhaps they changed something).

thanks for the reply tried step 1 and i haven't received the message yet. Because before I was using BBM and did the registration, that can be the reason that i don't receive it. 2nd step, i am not using the email service, just using the social service package (BBM, FB, Twitter, Whatsapp, yahoo messenger, and MSN). did the third step and waitng (not an hour yet)
i informed the repair shop and he asked me to bring him the phone and he will do the checkings to run it! Will try calling the carrier again and force them to reach a solution
