BBM upgrade 7.0.0.126

I've just received a notification to upgrade BBM from 6.2.0.44 to 7.0.0.126. My device is a Torch 9800/6.0.0.246 (bundle 695). Is it safe to do the uograde on this device? I wouldn't want what happened with the AppWorld upgrade recently, repeat itself. Can I safely upgrade BBM to 7.*, or should I ignore the notification?

BBM7 has been released for OS6 and OS7.
You will have to wait a few weeks before it is released for OS5.

Re: Associating BBM with your BlackBerry ID

can you try the following :
1 do a battery pull
2 with cellular connection on, log in BlackBerry ID (home screen >> options >> device >> BlackBerry ID)
3) open BBm
