BBM won't continue setting up

i cant setup my bbm on torch 9860... it would just stay on setting up for hours. i have tried several times but to no avail... i hope somebody can help me on this one... btw, is it necessary to reflash my phone as it is the only remedy i could think of (some apps on my phone have vanished as well)? how do i reflash my phone as well... thanks

go to the nearest blackberry service center and have them re software your device and be sure you have a bbm subscription in your service provider..
