In that case you should call or be in contact with your mobile provicer (3) tech support.

They will troubleshoot the issue with you and if they cannot resolve it, escalate the issue up to BlackBerry Technical support.

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan enabled on your account with your carrier or mobile provider?

You must, in order to get the RIM push email functions you are looking for, as well as additional BlackBerry data services such as the internet browser, Facebook for BlackBerry, BlackBerry Messenger, and much more.

So, call your carrier and inquire about having the BlackBerry Data Plan added to your account.

I have done everything that this had said & it still is not working. I have deleted it then reinstalled it & it's still doing the ecact same thing. Left it for about 2 hours & it is still saying 'setting up bbm' then once i go off it, it comes up just a blue screen.REALLY frustrating. I do not have any credit therfore it is the only way i can get a hold of friends. Any other suggestions? Would be really helpful

Dawn, the fact that you stated you don't have any credits is likely your problem here.

Call Vodafone and update your credits.

after you upadate your bbm to version 7.0.1.23 you cannot use your bbm over wifi unlike the previous one you can use it over wifi, but the latest i dont think it will work the reason:: business monopoly as usual,, you can connect it via mobile plan or data plan in what network you are using... in short no more free anymore lol

Nope, still free, always has been. Nothing has changed.

i've same problem(bbm setting up) and my service status bis connection not connected and my bb model no is bb 9800   6.0 bundle  2921 (v6.0.0.666, platform 6.6.0.241)

 

help me
