BIS E-Mail

Dear Guys and Girls,

in our company we have Blackberry mobile Phones for some workers and they get their E-Mails from Company Account on it.
This works great so long, but we have a problem with readed/unreaded messages - ih they read a message on their mobile phone so it is marked as readed message in on outlook too, but if they read a message on outlook they have to read it again on their mobile phone .....

Is there any way to "syncronize" the e-mails better than they were this moment?

Thank you for your answers!

Best regards,

Manu

Re: BIS E-Mail

And you are sure these users are on a BIS account plan, not the company BES?

What Outlook are you using.. desktop-based? Web-based?

You need to provide lots of details... including how you have the setup for "read" mail reconciliation to Outlook.

Re: BIS E-Mail

we have a company exchange, so they can use their outlook (most use 2007 or 2010) or they can login with a webinterface and see their calendar and emails and so on online in this webinterface.

its not possible to have the calendar and tasks on the mobile phone, but it was nice to have if its possible without BES.

neccesary is that when they read a message on outlook, that it is markes as read on mobile phone.

let me know if you need more informations or details.

Re: BIS E-Mail

Hi there!

It sounds like you have a very "normal" configuration:

  1. MS Exchange Server
  2. Outlook Clients
  3. OWA
  4. BB's reconciling OTA against OWA via BIS

In that configuration, this KB will apply regarding reconciliation features...which, sadly for your desires, means it is WAD (Working As Designed).

If you desire more features, you might want to look into BES Express...the price is right!

Good luck!
