Re: BLACKBERRY BATTERY DRAINING TOO QUICKLY

Hi and Welcome to the Community!

The first test is to boot into Safe Mode:

  • KB17877 How to start a BlackBerry smartphone in Safe Mode

It may take you multiple attempts to get the ESC key sequence (press/release/hold) correct, so be patient. When successfully into Safe Mode, see what happens.

If the behavior ceases, then think carefully...what happened just before this behavior started? A new app? An update? A Theme? Something else? Think carefully as the smallest change could be causal...and attempt to undo whatever that was.

If the behavior continues, then consider seeking out an update OS...it is possible that your OS has problems that are cured in later releases.

Or, it could simply be that your usage patterns drain your battery quickly...of course, you've not revealed anything about what you mean by "quickly", nor what your usage patterns are, so there is no way to even guess about this aspect.

Good luck and let us know!

Re: BLACKBERRY BATTERY DRAINING TOO QUICKLY

Thank you, but that doesn't reveal your usage patterns. For example, if you are using the telephone portion for calls throughout the time, then that could completely explain your battery life. Battery life is a function of usage patterns.
