BOLD9000 Outlook Sync Issues and App World

Dear Fellow Users,

I have just started using a BB after 2.5 years of iphone. Its a big improvement. Less messing around stroking the screen.

1st. issue: I cant get it to sync with my outlook. I have a 4 year old acer, with windows 7 ultimate and office 2003.

the BB power cable wont connect. I got bluetooth to work but still no sync. Ive downloaded BB desktop software.

2nd issue: BB App World has dissapeared from my screen. How to get it back???

3rd issue  how do I increase the memory?

thanks for any help you can give me, anyone.

Re: BOLD9000 Outlook Sync Issues and App World

Hi Bold9000UserIdiot,

Welcome to the Support Community! Glad to hear you're liking your BlackBerry® Bold™ smartphone! I'll try to answer each of your questions in order.

1. To address the issue you are having synchronizing, can you please verify that you are using a datasync USB cable and not a charge only cable? This blog post provides more information. http://bbry.lv/KyGbW9  If you are using a datasync cable, this KB article may be helpful. "Identifying and troubleshooting issues with the BlackBerry Desktop Software detecting a USB connected BlackBerry smartphone" http://bbry.lv/IS8qhe

2. This KB article should help with the BlackBerry App World™ storefront not showing on your Home screen. "BlackBerry App World icon is missing after upgrading to BlackBerry App World" http://bbry.lv/SPblgT

3. To increase the amount of free memory and improve performance on your BlackBerry® Bold™ 9000 smartphone, this KB article may help. "How to maximize battery life and free memory on the BlackBerry smartphone" http://bbry.lv/GHUfiB

Hope this helps.
