Back up

Blackberry, locks ups and freezes and will not complete back up

It could be one of many different things affecting it.

 

Start with a battery pull.  Remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.

Pulling the battery did not work. back up starts ok, then it just freezes and never advances of completes. unable to do OS update either because the first step it to back up device.

Also tried to upadte devise without connecting to PC and letting it aquire download from network and it locked up in the back up process also.

Exactly what in the back up process does your phone freeze on?

Different ones time to time.....( Smart Card..... MMS Messages......)
