Bad Audio

I've had my bb less than 3 weeks now..

 

Within the first week the audio started to crackle and cut out..

 

If I play music, when the phone rings Or even on a call if I do hear sound its crackling like there is static, it breaks up and sometimes there isnt any sound at all..

 

The phone was bought as a present for me from the US but I don't live there and don't know the procedure to return it

 

I'd like to rectify the problem without having to do so as well. The phone was a gift and therefore i do not have a recipt!

Oh .. I live in Barbados ... My carrier is Digicel

 

I am using the Blackberry 9900 OS 7.1  bundle 998 (v7.1.0.284 platform 5.1.0.230)

 

6gb free space

 

A battery pull does not help this issue

 

When this problem started I had blackberry app world

blackberry app world 4.0.0.55

facebook 3.2.0.12

whatsapp 2.8.5325
