Battery Problem in curve 3g 9300 after upgrading to os6.0

I have upgraded my device to os6 version. Since then i am continuosly loosing complete battery after 5-6 hours. I dont get many calls. My device is configured to my corporate email address.

This problem is annoying.

Anyone else facing this problem? What is the remedy? Is there an update in tge os to improve power management?

I hope engineers in RIM are noticing this...

Re: Battery Problem in curve 3g 9300 after upgrading to os6.0

Hi Abhishek,

I was facing the same issue after I upgraded to OS6. Then I did few changes in the settings and now my battery lasts for more than a day whereas it was only 3-5 hours before the changes.

- I changed my network from 3G to 2G.
- Turned off all LED notifications except my corporate mailbox.

Hope it serves your purpose.

Cheers...

Thanks Ankur for your reply. I will try this. But really a dissappointing work by RIM fellows to provide such poor power management! I thought the problem is relevant to touchscreen devices.

As such this is the last update for all the existing bb users coz they have come with os7. The proce of os7 devices is a bomb. They should release a.patch for our updates.

ttexidor, please read this thread http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/BlackBerry-Bold/Battery-Drain/m-p/1202765/highlight/true#M811...

There 's some information that might help you.

Also, it is not unusual for battery drain to occur when using a new OS on the device. It should become more normal after a few days. Info about that in the thread also.

Re: Battery Problem in curve 3g 9300 after upgrading to os6.0

As soon as they give a BB Curve 3G at the store (with OS6 already installed), the phone works flawless. After a wee and a half (and this has happened with several BB3G's already) the battery begins to drain dramastically and the black clock appears a lot. I'll read the thread. Thanks. Wish me luck!
