Battery drain/no email

Hello from a newbie,

Since the other day I have not been receiving emails on my BB Curve.  Also I keep getting an hourglass symbol and my battery is draining like crazy.  I tried closing applications, cleaning memory, removing the battery...and I still have the same problem.  Any suggestions?

WelcSmiley Happyme to the FSmiley Happyrums!

Try removing the battery and replacing it after about 30 seconds and allow the phone reboot.

Re: Battery drain/no email

Thanks for the welcome!

Tried the battery thing several times, but didn't work.  I still have that dreaded hourglass popping up, and my battery is still draining very quickly.  I was eventually able to access some email from a couple of days ago, but I don't know if the email retrieval problem is finally resolved.

Re: Battery drain/no email

I am still a newbie myself with the blackberry but here are a couple of things I have learned.  We will have further help from my blackberry friends soon.

This may be a memory issue.  Go to your OPTIONS icon< Status < and see how much file free you have.

Read over this and see if it is helpful.

This link has been very helpful to me. Once I did the steps it has on "how to free up memory" . I remove my battery and then put it back on for rebooting.

Hope this helps!

Merry CHRISTmas
