If i charge the bold 9900 it always shows the charging icon even if the charging is on for 5-6 hours. The life of the battery is only about 12 hours of usage. Am i doing something wrong

Re: Battery problem

I wouldn't be too concerned about the charging symbol showing.  Sure, it's unusual but a battery pull might correct that.  To do a battery pull, remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.

As for getting only 12 hours of usage on your 9900, that doesn't sound too out of whack to me.  BlackBerry made the Bold 9900 to be its thinnest phone to date.  In doing so, they couldn't put a huge battery in it.  A super-quick processor coupled with a thin battery equals shorter battery life.  I say if you're getting 12 hours on your battery, you're doing okay.
