Bberry 8330 cannot hear incoming outgoing calls

hi, my name is kareen. My blackberry speaker is not working.  I cannot hear my incoming calls, also on outgoing calls the person on the other line cannot hear me and i can't here that person either.  My text messaging works fine as well as my internet browser.  I tried playing one of my ringtones and it worked.  But still couldn't hear my phonecalls.

 

I've tried to set it up to enhance audio and my volume is set to max, but still no luck.  I tired re-setting it and turning it back on, but it didnt fix the issue either.  I bought this phone for 19.97 usd with a two year contract, 35 days ago.  I went to the store where i bough it and they dont know how to fix it.  I also bought a 59 usd insurance on this phone so i called sprint insurance, they want me to pay 100 usd for a 20 dollar phone just to replace it.  I am not very happy about this and i think the insurance is a rip off.  I am considering reporting this to the BBB and post my customer review on sprint insurance in the internet.

Has this function ever worked? If so, you say you did a reset -- did you follow exactly these instructions for that?


Anytime random strange behaviors creep in, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the back cover and pull out the battery. Wait about a minute then replace the battery and cover. Power up and wait patiently through the long reboot -- ~5 minutes. See if things have returned to good operation. Like all computing devices, BB's suffer from memory leaks and such...with a hard reboot being the best cure.
